A growing community of Muslim cosplayers are sharing ingenious ways of integrating their hijabs into fantasy outfits.
With a touch of creativity, they've used the religious head covering to double up as a wig, or even to sass up their outfit.

Today, Kira, who cosplays under the name Saakira Cosplayer, has cosplayed as virtually everything from the Powerpuff Girls to characters from Sailormoon.
"Around seven years ago I attended an event and saw a hijab cosplayer...and her costume was modified to that suitable for a Muslim," Kira told Mashable.
"At that time it was hard to find [any] hijab cosplayers."
Kira explains that only she properly got into cosplaying few years later.
"I started to become a hijab cosplayer in 2013. [It gives me a chance to] show my love for the character and at the same time, cover up," she said.
"I have to analyse the character first before cosplaying... their character and clothes must not have elements of other religions."
It takes her less than a week to put together a simple costume, though she adds that intricate ones take longer.
Kira is just one of many women who contribute to Hijab Cosplay Gallery, a group on Facebook for cosplayers to share pictures and ideas for cosplaying.
"This page was first created in 2013 when our founder, a hijab cosplayer, wanted to share their existence [of hijab cosplayers]," said an admin member for Hijab Cosplay Gallery.
"The [popularity] of the page grew increasingly and today people contact us to share their photos and posts onto our page."
We're blown away by how incredible they look. Keep rocking those hijabs, girls.
